Questions
How long does a vintage pet portrait take?
Portraits are generated in under 60 seconds. Upload a photo, choose an era like Victorian Studio or 1920s Glamour, and the AI creates your vintage portrait almost instantly.
What vintage photography eras are available?
PetMax offers four eras: Daguerreotype (1840s silver-plate), Victorian Studio (formal posed portrait), Sepia Postcard (warm tones), and 1920s Glamour (Hollywood golden age).
Is this a filter applied to my photo?
No. The AI generates a completely new image in the chosen vintage style. It recreates period-accurate lighting, grain, tonal range, and compositional framing rather than simply applying a colour filter.
About the Vintage style
Antique studio photography spans the daguerreotypes of the 1840s, the formal Victorian portraits of the 1860s, the sepia postcards of the early 1900s, and the dramatic black-and-white glamour portraits of the 1920s. Each process left its own signature: the silver sheen of a plate, the soft focus of wet collodion, the warm brown of a toned print.
Pets were photographed with the same ceremony as people. A formal studio portrait brings out the dignified, soulful side of your pet, and the monochrome and sepia tones of the period suit almost any room, which makes these portraits particularly good as framed prints.
PetMax's AI reproduces the look of each process, handling grain, tonal range, depth of field and period styling so the portrait reads as a period piece rather than a filtered photograph.
