Questions
How long does a Renaissance pet portrait take?
Most portraits are generated in under 60 seconds. You upload a photo, choose from five royal styles, and the AI delivers a finished portrait almost instantly.
Can I get my Renaissance portrait printed?
Yes. PetMax prints giclee on 200gsm enhanced matte paper in two sizes (8x10" and 16x20"). Prints ship free to the UK, Ireland and much of Europe, and to the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. UK orders usually arrive within a week, ready to frame.
What kind of pet photo works best?
A clear, well-lit photo where your pet's face is visible works best. Front-facing or slight angles produce the most striking Renaissance compositions.
Do you support cats, dogs, and other animals?
Absolutely. The AI works with dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and most other pets. Any animal with a clear face photo can become a Renaissance masterpiece.
About the Renaissance style
Renaissance portraiture emerged in 14th-century Italy as artists like Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael pioneered techniques in oil painting, perspective, and lifelike detail. These formal compositions celebrated the nobility of their subjects through rich fabrics, dramatic lighting, and symbolic props like crowns, sceptres, pearls and flowers.
Pets carry a natural dignity that translates perfectly into this classical style. A dog in a coronation cape or a cat in a velvet robe feels both regal and playful, capturing the grandeur of the era while celebrating your pet's unique personality.
Each PetMax portrait is generated by an AI image model guided by a prompt written for this period, so the details read as authentic: the warm chiaroscuro lighting, the texture of oil on canvas, and the deep jewel-toned colour palettes that define it. Each portrait is generated at high resolution, ready for printing and framing.
